Overview

A Princess Run is Maraudon’s most popular way to farm Princess Theradras repeatedly — using the Scepter of Celebras to skip both outer wings entirely and go straight for the loot, rather than clearing the full dungeon every time.

You need the Scepter of Celebras before any of this is possible. See our full Scepter guide if you haven’t gotten one yet — it’s a onetime investment that pays off on every future run.

The Route

Step Action
1 Use the Scepter of Celebras in the brazier room behind Spirit of Kolk to teleport to Earth Song Falls.
2 Proceed toward Landslide — engage him if your route takes you past him, though he’s skippable if you can avoid pulling him.
3 Continue to Princess Theradras and defeat her.
4 Optionally, continue to Rotgrip and Tinkerer Gizlock if your group wants their specific loot.

NOTE

Landslide, Rotgrip, and Tinkerer Gizlock are all technically optional on a Princess Run. Most groups running this repeatedly skip all three unless someone specifically needs their drops, since none of them block the path to Theradras.

Time Expectations

A full clear through Maraudon’s outer wings takes roughly 1 hour 15 minutes to 1 hour 45 minutes. A Scepter equipped Princess Run cuts this down to somewhere between 30 and 45 minutes — a real difference that’s exactly why this strategy is so popular for repeated farming.

Group Conventions

When forming or joining a Maraudon group, state clearly which type of run you’re doing — “Purple,” “Orange,” “Full,” or “Princess” — before anyone commits. These represent different time investments, and a player expecting a quick Princess Run won’t want to get stuck in an hourplus full clear instead.

Tips & Tricks

Confirm someone in the group actually has the Scepter before forming up. A Princess Run advertised without anyone carrying a Scepter isn’t actually a Princess Run — it’s a full clear in disguise.

Skip Landslide if your route allows it. He’s not mandatory, and avoiding an unnecessary pull keeps the run moving.

Decide on Rotgrip and Gizlock as a group before you reach them. Since both are optional, agree in advance rather than debating mid run whether to bother.

Treat this as a repeatable farm, not a one time trip. The whole point of investing in a Scepter is running this route multiple times — plan your sessions accordingly if you’re chasing a specific drop from Theradras.
