Asked what else might be coming beyond this roadmap, Associate Production Director Clay Stone said “nothing is off the table, not even a new class.” Treat that as a real open door, not a confirmed plan.
Hardcore Realms
Hardcore is confirmed as an official mode for Forever, arriving after the November 4 launch rather than on day one. Reporting places it in the “Winter 2026” window, likely coinciding with or shortly following the December 9 raid unlock, though Blizzard hasn’t given an exact date. It’s worth noting existing Classic Hardcore servers aren’t going anywhere — Forever’s version runs as an additional, separate option.
Tips & Tricks
Don’t expect endgame raiding at launch. With the first raids arriving five weeks later on December 9, plan your first month around leveling and dungeons instead.
Watch for the “revamped iconic raid” reveal specifically. Blizzard hasn’t named which existing raid gets reworked for the summer 2027 wave — this is one of the bigger open questions on the whole roadmap.
Treat all 2027 dates as approximate. Blizzard itself has only committed to “Spring” and “Summer” as broad windows, not specific months.
