If you had told me a couple of months ago that MMONerds would hit 10000 YouTube subscribers, I probably would have laughed and then gone back to farming another pack of skeletons.
Yet here we are.
Ten thousand people decided that watching a slightly unhinged paladin exclusively hunt undead in World of Warcraft was worth subscribing to.
It Started With a Stupid Idea
Like many good WoW stories, this one started with a simple question:
“Can you reach level 60 by only killing undead?“
I wasn’t that sure of the answer..
I just knew it sounded fun.
What I didn’t expect was how many people would become invested in the journey. Every episode somehow became bigger than the last, and before long we weren’t just making challenge videos—we had an entire community waiting to see what ridiculous obstacle would come next.
The Community Built This
The comments have become one of my favourite parts of every upload.
Some of you calculate routes that I completely missed.
Some of you know more obscure Vanilla WoW lore than Blizzard themselves.
And some of you simply show up every week to tell me to “Always Keep your Faith in the Light”
I read far more comments than people probably realise, and they’ve genuinely helped shape both the series and the channel.
This Is Only The Beginning
10000 subscribers feels like a huge milestone.
But it doesn’t feel like the destination.
If anything, it feels like the point where things are only just getting started.
There are more challenge runs I want to try.
More lore videos.
More guides.
More streams.
More terrible decisions that somehow become entire video series.
MMONerds has always been about celebrating everything that makes World of Warcraft great—from the tiny quest chains people forgot existed to the legendary stories every player remembers years later.
There’s still so much left to explore.
